The little drummer

At times an event, an experience or a discovery can be the defining moment in an adolescent or teenager’s life. Feel the pride, emotion and the exhilaration in her words as a little girl, now all grown up, strolls down memory lane!

My first year of nagging!

Nagging being in my blood, I wanted to capitalize on it. What better way to to do it than to call my blog after it? So The Cyber Nag was born!

Sixty years on……

Switch on the TV and you have all the channels holding ‘discussions’ on one topic or other. I am sick of the same spokespersons of the various parties — of the brazenness of the ruling coalition, the self righteousness of the Opposition, the judgmental tone of the Left. Pots calling kettles black.

The Indimeet I almost missed

I was agonizing over leaving the little one behind to attend the blogger meet. Fortunately for me, non bloggers were being allowed this time due to the social cause it espoused. Blanket of Relief, an NGO dedicated to protect the homeless of Delhi from the biting cold of the winter was a partner to this meet. An Open Letter to Vijay Mallya

It sounds mighty impressive for passengers to be called ‘guests’ by the Kingfisher Airlines, but it is all cosmetic, with no real substance to the term.

When I Jumped from the Frying Pan…..

One has to admit that there was variety in commuting in the capital: One could travel by the ordinary DTC and be crushed; or one could take one of the ‘special’ buses and get squeezed into a pulp, or one could travel by the ‘Mudrika’ and get suffocated or then one could go by one of the private buses and hang on to dear life!

The Moving Bug strikes again!

Hey folks! Guess what? It is not just houses but also blog hosts that I keep moving to and from. And it is now time for the move again. Please bear with me as the younger one is shifting the blog. I know I have not been very regular these past months but am definitely […]

Made in China

Far from being items of snob value for being ‘imported’ like their Western counterparts of yore, the Chinese products are considered infra-dig by the knowledgeable Indians. They would rather own a tube light made by say, Anchor or Bajaj than go for a cheap nameless one.
